Frog Passover Song

Frog Passover Song - action song

One morning when Pharaoh woke up in his bed  [pantomine stretching]
There were frogs on his bed and frogs on his head  [hands outstretched, on head]
Frogs on his nose and frogs on his toes [nose, toes]
Frogs here [one hand]
Frogs there [other hand]
Frogs were jumping everywhere. [jump all over child]

Hippity, hippity, hop

Hippity, hippity, hop – action rhyme

A little frog in a pond am I

[squat]

Hippity, hippity, hop!

[hop on “hop”]

I can jump so far, I can jump so high

[look far away]

Hippity, hippity, hop!

[hop]

I sit on a lily pad high and dry,

And watch the fishes swimming by

[flap hands like fins]

Then SPLASH! I make the water fly!

[splashing motion]

Hiipity, hippity, hop!

[hop]

Habia una rana

Habia una rana – Spanish rhyme

Habia una rana rana rana [hop with hand]
De traje verde verde verde [stroke shirt]
Que nadaron en el rìo rìo rìo [swim]
Y se muria de frìo frìo frìo [shiver]

Glub glub

Glub glub – action chant

“Glub glub” went the little green frog one day
“Glub glub” went the little green frog
“Glub glub” went the little green frog one day
And his eyes went “blink blink blink”

“Blink blink” went the little…
… and his legs went jump jump jump

Jump jump went the little…
… and his mouth went “glub glub glub”

{repeat ad nauseum}

Five little froggies

Five Little Froggies - action rhyme

One little froggie goes hop [hop once]
Along comes another and they just can't stop so...

Two little froggies go hop, hop [twice]
Along comes another and they just can't stop

[Continue in this manner and end as follows]
Five little froggies go hop, hop, hop, hop hop [5 times]
Drop! Time to stop.

Five green and speckled frogs

Five green and speckled frogs – song

Five green and speckled frogs

Sat on a speckled log

Eating the most delicious bugs

(yum yum!)

One jumped into the pool

Where it was nice and cool

Now there are four green speckled frogs

(glub glub)

{repeat down to 0 frogs}

[This is one of my big favorites - use with simple flannelboard, fingerpuppets, or kids acting the parts!]
